This unique combo tour allows you to see, feel, and experience the best of what Mexico City has to offer.
Unforgettable Sightseeing and Culture in Xochimilco
This is one of our most colorful tours as you not only visit the famous “Blue House” but also admire the majestic architecture of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, the picturesque landscapes of Coyoacán’s downtown, and the colors of Xochimilco, the “Place of flowers.”
Our first stop is Coyoacán, whose name in Náhuatl means “place of coyotes.” Here, our guide gives you a brief explanation of the origins and importance of this quarter and its surroundings. You also have time to walk around its streets and, if you want to, have a light breakfast (at your expense).
Next, you visit the museum-house of Frida Kahlo, the “Blue House,” where you learn about the intense relationship between Frida, her works, and her home, where she was born and also died. Although after marrying Diego Rivera she lived in different places of Mexico City and abroad, she always went back to her old house in Coyoacán.
The trip continues toward one of Frida Kahlo’s favorite places, Xochimilco. Here, you get information on its origins, going back to pre-Hispanic times, and enjoy a ride on a trajinera, the traditional boat of the area.
After the ride, you have spare time to walk around the crafts market or try the delicious food sold in the surrounding area. Our last stop is Ciudad Universitaria. Our guide explains to you the murals of Rectoría and the Central Library, belonging to the main campus of the national university.
